Bingley Stone have specialised in being able to tailor client’s specific requirements in to each project. Steps or stairs can be designed to accommodate your specific needs and then are cut by our skilled masons individually for your project. We can help at the design stage (using our in house CAD team) or work from drawings provided to produce beautiful, bespoke natural stone steps. We can produce steps with risers, or solid steps if required. Our experienced masons can apply a range of nosing profiles to the leading edge of the steps such as; bull nose, pencil round, ogee, chamfer to name a few.
Where required, predominately in public spaces, we can satisfy DDA requirements (Disability Discrimination Act) by producing natural stone steps with an inlaid strip to aid the visually impaired. We can produce a range of Gradus, carborundum, brass or stainless steel inlays in a manner or different forms. We also produce, in house, tactile products in natural stone, such as corduroy paving to accompany the steps as well as blister paving, lozenge, guidance, cycle way and many other forms of tactile stone. We can supply our tactile products not only in the typical 400mm x 400mm straight units, but in bespoke sizes and even produced to radii where required to follow the lines of curved steps.
